"If you don’t use floral quarter for your wedding, rest assured you’re missing out!"

"I was lucky enough to have Vicky agree to do the flowers for my wedding"

"Nothing was too much trouble"

"I thank vicky from the bottom of my heart for being such a pleasure to work with and for being so incredibly talented"

"Vicky created my floral dream for our wedding. Everything was perfect and exceeded what I had imagined. Such a lovely person from start to finish and is 100% dedicated to making your vision a reality.

One of the reasons you hire a professional florist to make your wedding look really special is that we know what we're doing with flowers! That may seem really obvious, but there is a lot of skill to getting this right. For weddings, I want the flowers to look as perfect as possible on the day and this means different things for different types of flower. For example, if you've ordered Peonies in your arrangements, they will take time to open and look their best on the day. It's my job to make sure this happens. There is a particular way to condition and treat flowers so that they are open at just the right stage for your wedding day. It's my job to take this sort of stress away for you, so that you can just concentrate on the important part, looking forward to getting married!

So timing is a big part of my pre-wedding preparation. I will order the flowers in as appropriate to make sure that they are as fresh as can be, but that I have time to make them into the beautiful bouquets and table arrangements that will make your big day come to life. It's all about using my knowledge and experience to strike that balance!

I am a wedding flower specialist and I have a specialist workshop which is dedicated to putting weddings together. This allows me the space I need to create your wedding. I'll have arranged my week around your needs for the day as well, to make sure I have enough time to get your flowers where they need to be. To do this, I need to know my venues: there are hundreds of wedding venues in the north east region (we're very blessed like that!) and as your wedding florist I have to know how to get to them, who to speak to when I get there and how best to decorate. A lot of this comes from my extensive experience working at these venues and building a relationship with the staff there.

This is the other reason you hire a professional florist: we do all the delivering/setting up/clearing away for you! There can be so many things to think about on the lead up to your wedding, so many worries and stresses, and if your suppliers can remove some of these then it can make your big day a lot more enjoyable. Where do you need your bouquet to be on the morning of the wedding? The bride and groom won't see each other before the wedding, so how does the groom get his buttonhole? When will the venue be set up and ready? How will the cake flowers make it onto the cake? We will have arranged all of these things in advance in our final meeting 1 month before the wedding and it's all part of the service. It's one less thing to worry about.

It's my job to answer these questions, take these stresses away, and have the venue looking exactly as you want it when I leave. The best part of the wedding experience for me? When I knock on your hotel room door, walk in to see your family, friends and bridesmaids having their hair and make up done, the excitement in the air. It's the look on your face when I hand you the bouquet that makes it all worthwhile.
